Cardiff National Ice Skating club runs on Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and is open to all children or adults who are working at Galaxy Gliders Level 8 or above. For details of Galaxy Gliders skating classes, visit www.planet-ice.co.uk. For details of the club gala on the 8th July, click here.
The club welcomes skaters from a wide range of ages and ability levels and takes a skater-focused approach, aiming to assist all skaters in achieving whatever goals they have personally chosen to focus on and do so in a safe, friendly environment which offers the opportunity for exercise, socialising, and the development of skills. We provide a high standard of expert training from experienced and certified coaches, and give skaters the opportunity to participate in structured competitions, formal tests, shows, and galas.
Members of the club have taken part in galas including Mamma Mia!, hosted by Nicki Slater; performed with Holiday on Ice and in shows including The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins; and put on a yearly show at the Cardiff Winter Wonderland at Christmas. Many of our club members take part in competitions all over the UK, and the club also hosts its own annual Cardiff Open competition.
